Sorry guys Titanic really? I don't even remember if I made all the way through it, it was that bad. I was expecting so much, being a Cameron fan, very disapointed.

Hobbies?
Astronomy, reading (medieval and crusades a favourite topic), Music (especially opera live in the theatre) 4WD travel and camping.
Favourite Food?
Roast pork and vegies followed closely by crumbed lamb cutlets and mashed potato.
Favourite Movie & Why?
The first Lord of the Rings movie followed closely by the other two. I'm astonished that the movie makers managed to capture so brilliantly the "mind's eye" image you get from reading Tolkien's masterpiece
What is something that your co-workers might not know about you?
I was in the last National Service intake in 1972 - Singleton. My reluctant army career was fortunately shortened by Gough Whitlam winning the election in December 1972.
Which 3 people would you invite to your perfect dinner party and why?
I cannot think of anyone I would like to have the perfect meal with more than my wife and family. They mean more to me than all the scientists and geniuses in the world put together.

What is something that your co-workers might not know about you?
Only thing I can think of is that I was done for dangerous driving early 90's ( post event). I lost control of my car going around a corner that was wet from sprinklers with a flat rear tyre. I ended up in the next door neighbors garden ( not established) and drove off without reporting.....Apparently there were witnesses ( at 4 am in the morning) and as young ,naive and innocent as I was I pleaded guilty.
Which 3 people would you invite to your perfect dinner party and why?
Love to invite some people who havn't had an Aussie BBQ. First comes to mind -which I had way back when he was popular- is Prince ( thanks for reminding me Jen!!! ). Megan Fox cause she is a nerd in Hot Babe's clothes. Prince Willem Alexander of The Netherlands, cause I am of Dutch origin and I would like to show him what the Dutch have missed out on in not making this awesome country we live in a colony of The Netherlands.......stir stir
Oh and Jen as a fourth wheel....she likes Prince

Jen,
I ( and my Mum and sister ) left Holland in late 1986 when Prince was going to do a concert in (I think) Rotterdam. We missed out. Then when we got to Oz, he did a gig in (I think) Sydney shortly after we arrived. My Sister and I were dead set on going to it but failed in the attempt.
So never saw him live. My sister has all his albums too ( on cassette tape, vinyl and cd).

This is a very interesting excercise, I wish Mike you had asked what people's favourite colour is....I seem to recall a very funny conversation at IISAC one year about that.

Favourite Food?
Lamb Roast with baked veges, with lashings of gravy.
Favourite Movie & Why?
Amelie, for its hilarious and unexpected plot, truly captures the joie de vivre with beautiful scenes of Montmartre
Cinema Paradiso, for its insights on life and mortality
Blade Runner, best atmospheric movie ever made
What is something that your co-workers might not know about you?
I fell out of our family car the day before my first day of kindergarten, shirt got caught on the door handle, I was dragged along the road for about 400m. Somehow I survived.
Which 3 people would you invite to your perfect dinner party and why?
The Apostle John, Vincent Van Gogh (hopefully he would do a painting to mark the occasion), and my wife (she is my best friend).
