It's now drawing to and end and my Camera has taken around 700 shots. Can't wait to see it animated into a moving movie.. All things being OK with the exposures. Tomorrow will tell. Stayed clear here in Adelaide and was a great sight to see.. Will let you know how the movie works out and might even add a link to it..
Beats watching the rubbish on TV.. Get out and enjoy
I actually saw a good slice of the action here in Melbourne.
There were enough holes in the clouds to get a few good glimpses before it rained again.
Couldn't see any hint of red though.
Great view here in Sydney. Viewing at 30x in my 70mm refractor there was a noticeable red tinge on the limb (the wife spotted it first!) with a blue-green colour toward the edge of the Earth's shadow. Got a few snaps, nothing good though.
Had great seats for the rugby and a fabulous view of the eclipse too - killed two birds with one stone tonight. The match ended about the time of maximal eclipse ~9:40pm.

I was hoping someone was going to make a small movie out of it. Im not into the photography side of thing but as I was watching it through the night I couldnt help but think that it would make a cool time lapse movie.
Please post a link when done.
Nice going Jen! Probably could have jumped to 1/2000 sec. for this but it's usually a case of hindsight. Well done!
Thanks John as the night went on i ended up taken pics between 1/3000 and 1/2000 i was clicking different setting all over the place as most of my pics were taken through thin clouds When i tried 1/2000 in the beginning it was over exposed
