I once had an AP6 Valiant (1965), that went really well. The first car I owned to myself. Unfortunately the rust got into it so I traded it in for a new car 15 years ago.
Talk about a dream car, I've lost count of how many times I had a dream where I've found it (unfortunately no longer with the stereo I installed that would almost make the passengers ears bleed), and I've bought it back -redeemed from the wilderness !!!. And I'm really stoked to get it back. Then I wake up and realise it was only a dream. . I tell my wife who doesn't like Valiants and all she can say is "keep dreaming". Boy do I miss that car.
Back to the subject. My dream car would be a 2 door convertible cherry red '57 Chev Bel Air.
(Trying to be environmentally friendly, any chance of a solar powered plug in to charge it?? Might have to wait a while for the technology to get it going with enough grunt and endurance for a long trip).
Not for very long....once the Veyron got that big weight moving, it was goodnight F1.
Yes, true, but the Bugatti has a LOT more HP, it would be expected to. I saw the car for the first time last night (a mate showed me) and to be honest, it looks damn well ugly as imho. I'd rather the McLaren F1 based on looks alone! And remember, the McLaren is like Ten or more years old now and probably cheaper than the Bugatti as well.

Actually, it's nearly twice the price of the Bugatti. It is a nice looking car, though.
that pricey? last I heard the McLaren F1 went for around 2 million. That was initial price, maybe the price has went up due to rarity? The last Bugatti I saw was a million, and it wasn't that special imho.
The first one is an Alfa 105 GT Junior. It's the race car in my sig. Here's a picture of it all washed and packed ready for Sandown, tomorrow!!.
The next pic is what happens when the driver's ambition gets too far ahead of his ability (140kmh pit straight wall at Phillip Island).
The last is my daily driver, it looks like a pretty ordinary family sedan, but blows the doors off the Falcodores at lights, not that I'd do that of course...
As to the "no replacement for displacement" guys 'n gals, there is a replacement it's called grip and engineering.

My family has a 1964 Valiant Convertable...it is a fun car to drive!

Nice one Phil. The 1964 Valiant in Australia was the AP5 (model before the AP6 I had). The AP5 - Ah yes very similar but main difference was it had push button auto. Not very popular with women who kept breaking nails changing gears, so I heard.
Just FYI, the AP6 was released in the US as a Plymouth Barracuda. I've only seen one in Oz, and was impressed when I saw it.
