Few quick ones for you all.
Hopefully create a smile amoungst the darkened clouds...
* Whats the difference between the AllBlacks and viagra? At least viagra will get you a semi!
* Whats the difference between the AllBlacks & a tea bag? A tea bag stays in the cup longer...
* You hear about the new AllBlack bra? All the support but no cup!

4 years is a long time.

LOL Adrian,

Well I have to say personally I was pleased to see the French out of the
Cup. England are coming along nicely. I really Hope Argentina can do it
against the Boks. Then I want to see Argentina Smack the Poms it would
top off an interesting turn of events.

I would also like to say...

All this media hype over here about how such sore losers the Kiwi's are and
that we will be taking it badly, snubbing our team on their retrurn...etc...etc..
even a suggestion in a news broadcast that womens refuges are preparing
for an increase in domestic violence, which really did offend me. But look
at the crowds that greeted the AB's on their return. There were no fans
greeting the Wallabies on their return, which I thought was a bit slack, poor
chaps.

regards,CS

I hope johnny breaks a toe and the forwards on both teams pull a groin muscle - that leaves the back lines to fight it out

Lets see Tri Nations, Bledisloe Cup and I think you guy's have
a plate ... the Mandela Plate hell we have a spot in the cabinet
now.... we'll play ya for it lol

btw, here's what the French coach had to say

From AllBlacks.com...

France head coach Bernard Laporte believes New Zealand is still the best team on the planet, despite its exit at the quarter-final stage of the World Cup.

Laporte was the mastermind behind Les Bleus' epic 20-18 victory over the All Blacks a week and a half ago, but then saw his side lose to England in Saturday's semi-final.

England will now take on South Africa in the final but whichever team wins, Laporte believes the Kiwis remain a cut above.

"This World Cup has been crazy," said the outgoing Les Bleus coach.

"There have not been many great matches. Who has played any rugby? The only ones are the All Blacks.

"They have the power and the genius, something that no-one else has.

"They are the best team in the world. We beat them but if we had played them the next day and the following days, there was a great chance we would have lost.

"The All Blacks are the only team who can put 30 points on everybody else."

Oh well, at least the next WC will be in NZ closer to home and more godly
hours of coverage

Regards,CS

Tough call there, Aidan. Some of us still remember the 2003 final like it was yesterday

Hope Argentina win on Saturday morning, and Sunday...

Yup have to say, more than likely the boks will take the cup. However if
Argentina played the boks like they did the French today we may of well
seen a England v Argentina final. The Puma's were outstanding against the
French. All the more reason to bring them into the Tri Nations

Another try-less 'top level' game. Perhaps it is time to shorten the length of the playing area and narrow the width of the goal posts?

No, I didn't see the game so feel free to lambaste me at will. I like various forms of football and the tactics used within them to attempt to nullify the opposition's strengths. When it comes down to results which are determined totally by penalties I start to doubt my sanity.

Don't get me wrong, please, a game decided by a penalty is fine - bad luck to the loser, but games where there are no tries scored is another matter. Has the game and have the players reached a point where defence is so efficient that it comes down to infringements (deliberate or otherwise) to provide the scorekeepers with work? Does the relativity of points for tries, penalties and drop kicks need to be re-visited?

Damned if I know to be honest.

OK, fire away!

John,

Being a harden Union supporter, I do understand where your coming from.
Long gone are the days when you would run down the field with a ball in
one hand and a fist in the other, when a coat hanger was apart of the
game. It's changed a lot from those days with added rules which are
generally put there for the safety of the players.

In the end I have to say I'm pleased the Boks won, yeah yeah yeah I know
I upped nightstalker for thinking of them. In the end I just didn't want
the poms to win. They've played crap rugby over the last 4 years since
winning the cup in 2003. To have them come back and win back to back
cups, just didn't sit right.... you'd never hear the end of it. However
the game itself was a good fight, and the look on Johnny's face was
rewarding : ) he only tried for a couple of drop goals and missed.

The Argentina v France match was a ripper, I watched the replay... I
was a hollaring and a woop woop wooping!!! I would have to say one
of the best matches of the cup.

regards,CS

Oh well, another 4 years

Some real upsets and treats this RWC, teams expected to do well like Aus, NZ and Ireland all performed poorly, some teams expected to be so poor had sensational moments like the USA, Georgia and Japan while the Pacific Island teams and Argentina were a treat to watch at all times.

I'm sad its all over and as for the scoring I believe it should be simplified to make any kick through the post worth 2 points. Actually I'm surprised that has not been adopted into the new Stellenbosch rules (for the uninitiated, thats the new set of changes already being trialled at ARC and s14 level supposed to simplify the game!)

Ok so I'm a rugby tragic...
