can my wife assist me with my enquiry, she is very smart, with a degree and all, and I am sure she can show what hooters are and how I can get in touch with them!

They sound like a rebel bikie gang.

Anyway, off to wikipedia and all the good clean god faring explanations that I am sure they have.

Thanks guys for helping me track down hooters. Next time I am in melbourne, we should all go to mens gallery and check out some strippers!

I wasn't offenderd by the material on SCP I just found it boring, yaaawn.

I do think it is great there is an alternate forum coz it was obvious that many members felt constrained here. I guess as the old saying goes one size does not fit all is sooooo true.

Chill

Anyway, let's not turn this into an us versus them.. People can make up their own minds what they're after in an astronomy forum.

As I said in the first post of the thread, some will like SCP better than IIS, some will like IIS better than SCP, and some will play at both. Let's just leave it that.

If they want to keep bagging IIS and our strict and unfair rules and over moderation, then they'll get people that want to do the same. I'm certainly not going to let IIS be a place to bag another site.

I like to find out the facts before commenting on a subject, yes I did join but I doubt I will do much posting on SCP as it currently stands. But IIS is my astronomy forum of choice (I am also a member of cloudy skies but have only posted there about a dozen times).

Because they've got secret members-only areas there.

I can't see why people have a problem with IIS forum rules? I have pushed the envelope on occasions and I have had a few disagreements with my fellow forum members but generally the vibe on IIS is great. With out a doubt IIS has re-invigerated astronomy for me and my hat goes of to Mike and the Mods

No worries Micko. Actually I couldn't get anymore chilled if I tried. Good onya for finding out the facts before shooting from the hip, in any case.

I think the moderation rules are quite fair & just here Mike (you know as well as anyone else, I found out how far I could push things as far as spam/silly posts went back in the 'good Ol' dayz' ) I've never had a problem with it. I think it's fair to say some folk have no 'internal moderator' & cut loose with all sorts of rubbish, simply because they CAN. Some NEED moderating.

"Because they've got secret members-only areas there. " By Stevo.

Only the 'spamiverse" though isn't it?? who gives a stuff about that if your into astronomy?? Oh well.

Its simple. If you gonna join a forum, respect the rules, the admin and the moderators on it. If not then join another one. I can't see many magazine publication will advertise it though. By swearing just to express yourselves really shows lack of maturity and professionalism in the hobby. If it's a xxx forum then i can understand

Nothing wrong with that Paul. He created IIS and build this community. and ofcourse you guys the mod's as well. keep it up fellows. I have ran and created more than 5 forums in the past. There are rules and members should respect that.

Hrrrm.... did the poms win the Ashes again or did I miss something?

Whatever floats your boat guys , you all have a choice and Im happy whatever you do as I can still enjoy the stars no matter what site I have been looking at for the past hour.

I know that If I start a thread on any Astronomy site about something GENUINE to do with the hobby I will get a response from someone who has as much enthusiasm as I do.

Clear Skies to ALL who share my hobby.
