Well, there are always logical flaws. But I thought this was one of the best of the new series. Very clever!

Wow, what a full on episode!! Thank goodness it settled down to 'reality' at the end.

I loved the finale, something old, something new, something borrowed, something BLUE! Raggedy Doctor indeed.

yeah the finale was a great story - the first time through was a right rollercoaster. I had to watch it twice before I could unravel it properly.

also, this is the right place to join the Amy Pond fan club, yes?

As a long term Dr Who fan, basically from Pertwee onwards, I do like the direction this new series has taken, if the new Doctor hasn't created his own identity the series has failed. Matt Smith may not be a David Tennant but I do think history will judge him kindly. I was amused to see the Doctor in this series playing competitive sport and appearing half naked in the same episode, I am pretty sure they are Dr Who firsts and a nod towards the new fan base he has. Long live Dr Who and likewise I can't wait until next year.....I've been in the Amy pond appreciation line for a while but there seem a lot of people still ahead of me in the queue.

Ah yes there's something about a redhead with a Scots accent, must be the Scottish blood in me.

The 21st century Dr Who series are certainly deeper in story & emotion but there's something lacking that the old series had in abundance...cliffhanger endings.

Each story was 2-3-4 episodes long & almost always ended in a cliffhanger, they still get me with a smile & a laugh thinking good ol' Dr Who, life would be duller without it.

I guess today the average attention span has dropped to the point where multi episode stories are ratings losers...sad.

I love the good doctor... and I don't mind Matt...

But is it just me, or is the writing this season just a bit too... hollywood-ish? You know... cute... sugary... over-the-top...

One would think they're catering to the US market.

So .... what do we all do tonight at 7.30 when there is NO DOCTOR WHO?
I suppose Masterchef will fill the gap, a little.
We are back to no scifi on TV.

Its a disaster - my kids are moping and my son has been watching the DVD boxed set he received at Christmas - again.

I'm not sure how I will get the organised for school - "If you don't pack your school bag, you won't not get to watch Dr Who tonight" - doesn't work does it.

Well I'm set. There's a doco on Bobby Kennedy on SBS3, and I have 3 seasons of Midsomer Murders to get through!

Watched the final episode two days later, and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the pure entertainment factor, I thought the jumping around in time, and the young and old Amy's were great. I loved the wedding at the end! Not being a purist, I didn't find any glaring errors in the story - just good family entertainment fun!
