Oh well, one day I am sure!

Luckily things only have to be square or round and concentric. I dont think there was anything being machined that really needed to be within +/- .05mm.

Concentric was the main thing though. I think if I was asked to do almost any job to within +/- .001mm it would cost a fortune with many failed attempts, I don't think I even have anything to measure that precision

it definately makes for a "good " interference fit" hahahah. but you are right, if im trying to get to 0.001mm then im a bit OCD! itll happen one day, hopefully sooner rather than later but then again im what they call gen Y.. only by a year or so :S

See, Me personally, I'd much prefer to pay someone to put in the hard yards for me, and help them do it.. I couldn't imagine building something like this... Maybe modifying something like the GSO 10" RC and converting it to an open truss setup... but not from scratch...

Brendan, the Ali is cheap, see Capral they will cut bits of plate up for you. That way you can make a start with all the metal bits and buy the mirrors when you are cashed up.

you could, but you'd need a custom made secondary, and a custom coma corrector..
