They eventually repair their ship (a Gemini capsule if I remember rightly) and take off again with the family in tow. They make it back through the time warp and end up back in Los Angeles in their present-day. Then the second half of the series is about the cave people trying to adjust to modern city life in the 20th century. A comedy that was done on a budget but should have gone on longer.

Anyway.... I FOUND THE ENTIRE SERIES ON DVD!!!!!!!
Yeeeeeees !!!!!
That's it, that's the one I was talking about in my post too.

$42 landed here Andrew. I suppose it'll be in NTSC format, but most DVD players/TV's cope with that these days. 7 x DVD's will take a while to watch I'm just glad to find it. I've been looking for it for decades.

I really can't wait to see it - the last time was in the mid-70's when it was re-run once only.

Everything i loved has been mentioned I think.

These shows were all intertwined in some way and theres one other I forgot. I think they were made by the same studio

Petticoat Junction
Casey Jones
Green Acres
Bevilery Hillbillies

Hogans Heroes is my fav all all time show.

Hey Hey before everyone caught on was priceless. Allnighters ending up with hey hey, ahh so good. Its sad all of it was not kept on tape.

I thought I was the only one that remembered Its about time, great price you got those for.

Homicide, division 4, cop shop, matlock police, solo one, all got a run in the afternoons. Even "cops" got an afternon run once.

Yep - and the bloke I got them from is the ONLY source worldwide. Here's his return email to one I sent him earlier:

Hi Chris

I know what you mean.

This series will never be available in the stores or on TV reruns.
These are 16mm tape transfers and it is all that is left that I know of.

I contacted some of the living actors relatives of this show and they had none of the material either.
They have it now and are thrilled.

Nice to hear from you.

Regards

Paul
How cool?

I remember that show, It's about Time. Mainly by the theme music though. It's about time, it's about space etc etc.
Doesn't that girl in the picture you posted look like Gina Reily, you know from Kath and Kim.

LOL! Her name was Imogene Coca. She died in 2001.

She also played the ditzy "Mary the Good Fairy" in Bewitched... and many other sitcom roles. Her most famous was probably as a dead granny tied to the roof rack in "Vacation".

A true comic genius....

Talking about theme music, here's a link to the Nutty Squirrels, with a real audio of their tune "Uh Oh". http://www.toontracker.com/nutty/nutty.htm
This predated the Chipmunks by a couple of years and is much classier than anything they put out.

"It's About Time" has just arrived from Canada. I've just watched part of the first episode and I'm already laughing They just don't make them that way any more. Can't wait to get home and have an IAT fest...
