Sorry to hear you were clouded out on Saturday night, folks.

I had a great weekend at Coonabarabran. Hector (Andrew Murrell) was there too....we shared some great views in The Mary Rose and Ptah. Unfortunately John Bambury was unwell, and so unable to join us.

We did have some interference from storms on Saturday night, not a single cloud or drop of rain, but endless flickering from lightning strikes perhaps 50-100km to the north and north east. I packed up that night at 10.30pm, went to bed for a few hours, and was up again about 2.30am when the electrical storm had settled down, and observed until astronomical dawn.

I am dog tired, so while the thought of meeting up during the week at the PC is attractive, my body will be taking me to bed early most of this week!

I may see you all next month. I repeat my comments on the other thread which Joe started that I think the PC is less than ideal, and particularly after a weekend at Coona, I realise, again, just how much darker the sky can get.
