I used to be a keen stargazer many many years ago but dropped out due to flagging interest and other pressures... my priorities are different now and I'm happy to do a little casual visual observing just for personal fun.
My other passion is paragliding. It's a great excuse to go somewhere out of town for a weekend (or longer) which often turns out to be an ideal opportunity to do a little stargazing someplace nice, under dark skies if I time it right.
I'll admit to having dabbled in photography on-and-off over the years but have no desire to get into imaging on a 'scope, perhaps after I retire...

Nobody has mentioned Travelling (globally), I thought it would be much more common here, we want to know what's out there and this tiny planet is a lot more accessible than the rest of the universe

UNIX? That's not a hobby, that's an obsession! (which is why I was too embarrassed to list it )

Question is which Unix, I have always used Irix, the SGI flavour although that's very close to end of lfe. Being a new boy I thought I'd add my hobbies in here, past and present.
Once apon a time:
Sailing.
Windsurfing (more recently) Broken mast stem still not fixed.
Camping.
Bush walking.
Caving.
Photography.
Tennis.
Squash.
4WDriving. 1971 Troop Carrier Landrover in Driveway (needs a good home to go to.)
Now.. still doing
Camping, when I get time
Squash once a week.
Sailing, if I get the opportunity.
Photography (still learning with the telescope.)
Running (to keep the weight down)
Interested also in early Australian History.
That's about me summed up.

Another RAH fan?
Aside from Astronomy my main interest is in LIFE and I have tried to fit as many experiences and adventures in it as I can.
I love learning new skills.
If something attracts my interest, I'll try to have a go at it.
My past hobbies have been-:
my horses
hydroponics
distilling
photography
gourd craft
painting
gem stones, fossils, meteorites
gold panning, metal detecting
netball
But I've had a go at heaps more stuff. Enough to learn a little about it then I move on.
Life it way too short to have just one interest. Diversify! You don't want to be sitting by the fire in your old age, chewing yer gums, dreaming of all the things you didn't try while you were young.

Historically I've used Solaris, Irix, AIX, Digital Unix, lots of no longer existing flavours, as well as FreeBSD and Linux. Currently I'm actively using Solaris, Linux, and FreeBSD.

Currently my hobbies are Astronomy, Woodwork, Photography, dabbling in electronics and Boating & Fishing and the odd game of Table Tennis. I also have a nice old full size billiards table and enjoy knocking the balls around (memories of a misspent youth).
At 55, I look back and think how lucky I've been to have been able to pursue the hobbies I have.
Others over the years.
Motocross, Enduro racing and observed section trials.
Offroading (4WD) including some 4WD rallies.
Flying; General Aviation and some ultralight and Microlight.
Scuba Diving & Snorkelling
Snow Skiing
Water Skiing
Wave Sailing
Cycling
Radio Control models
Unfortunately my back isn't as strong as it used to be, so wavesailing is a bit out of the question, although I still have all my gear. Of all the hobbies I have done wavesailing has to have been the most fun.
Try everything you can, while you have your youth, it seems to rapidly fade along with your fitness.

We're certainly an eclectic bunch. Lots of active minds and bodies. I think you could post any question on any topic to this bunch and some bugger would know the answer. We seem to be the bio mass equivalent of Douglas Adams' Deep Thought.

Sofa so good:
Music - I play guitar to relax, been doing that for 40 years, I have a few to choose from. I play piano, as well as banjo (yep another bluegrass freak). I also compose stuff.
Reading - Science fiction not that fantasy stuff, but real SF.
Writing - Lyrics and poems. Member of a local writing group.
Model Engineering - Lathe work for the fun of it as well as making iddy biddy telescopes.
Cooking - In the dim dark past I was a chef of sorts. Still enjoy making up new dishes, some good, some not so good.
Catalogue Collecting - I have a collection of Scientific Catalogues dating back to the early 1800's. Like Barr & Stroud, Zeiss, Broadhurst, Clarkson and many others. About 600 all up.
Oh, and by the way "Who's a naughty boy then?" "Release who?" "It's only a flesh wound!" and I do like traffic lights.
