Twin Towers

Saw that conspiracy clip - interesting. Food for thought. Brings up many interesting points. This one will go on for quite a few years, ahla the JFK assasination.

cheers

Aye Carrumba.....

There is no food for thought here.

A mob of dirtbags drove two heavy B767's with a sizeable fuel load at several hundred knots into the structural elements of a very big building.

Heat and gravity did the rest.

The 9/11 "conspiracy" has been rebutted very comprehensively by some extremely clever people that have no interest in other than the actual physical events (e.g. the explosives/free fall crap)

Have an inquiring mind.

Learn some Physics ( poorly taught these days )

Then the BS becomes obvious.

Convinced

Fair enough, you beleive what you want, nothing whatsoever wrong with that. Personally I agree. Lets just be thankfull, that people do question.

Absolute Rubbish!

There is plenty food for thought!

Not in the Physics perhaps - natural law is natural law after all, but in the way people perceive the same event...

Why do many want to believe that their own (US) government would perpetrate an evil insane act in the face of evidence to the contrary?

Why is conspiracy theory more attractive than facts!?

What brought us to this point?

That, Peter is food for thought!!

Doug

So if you can't argue the Physical reality then put in a few more layers....

My dealings with Governments both domestic and foreign has always led me to the conclusion (well..O.K. had I dealings with *one* pretty sharp cookie in the tax office...) they are a mob of pions. Could not organize a beer in a brewery...

Ockham would not be pleased.

Hi Doug
What amazes me is when the news broke the first thought that went through my mind was that some one was dropping bombs on the USA for a change.
Normally the media shows the US dropping bombs on some other country.
However, I certainly never thought conspiracy. It was only recently when some one gave me the two documentaries to watch did that thought ever cross my mind. I certainly felt the argument presented was reasonable and the video footage in my opinion was not doctored.
However, my next step was to find out the other side of the story and this forum pointed me in the correct direction. Learning is a continuous process and ends when death arrives.
Astronomy has taught me how small and insignificant we really are and that in the grand scheme of things everything comes to an end.
At least we dont have to pay for the annual trip around the sun.
Now that is food for thought (the trip around the sun)
Regards
Steve

It's a big leap from "The government did it" to "They knew about a potential attack and did nothing"

I believe it was almost certainly a terrorist attack.

I don't believe even the Bush administration would perpetrate such an act.

But I do believe they would take advantage of the situation for all it's worth (and have).

I've watched the 'Improbable Collapse' video and it didn't make me an instant conspiracy theorist, but did make me re-think some things.

I do believe the collision of the planes into the buildings caused the twin towers to collapse.

I don't see how building 7 collapsed due to 'debris' or other such cop-out reasons. I remember watching it live, and thinking 'why did that building collapse? Is there going to be some big chain reaction?'. But no, there wasn't. Other buildings were in closer vicinity and were fine.

I can easily believe reports that the Bush administration ignored reports of imminent attacks.

We know for a fact that Bush has led America and other nations down the garden path before (WMD anyone?) and so almost anything is possible.

I just think it's wrong for people (you know who you are) to be completely dismissive of the other side's arguments, whichever side they're on.

Just my 2c

Did the other buildings burn for hours though? No, they did not. The debris smacked a 4 story hole in the side of the building, and the fire weakened it further.

Just saying it was unusual that's all. Never seen it happen before. Must be one of those weirdly designed buildings that collapses vertically when on fire. Wonder if it had the same design as the twin towers?
