Martin I have to agree with Doug, that is very crisp and clear, I don't usually like the Moon images all that much, but that certainly captures my attention.

But these are my best Jupiter pictures to date. Taken last April and May.
I took them all with my trusty old Panasonic Video Camera butted up to a barlowed 12.5mm EP.
Imagine if you can, holding the camera steady with one hand, guiding the dob with the other hand and with the other hand focusing the scope.
Degree of Difficulty 12 / 10

Great shot!

Like Leon, I just had to catch up with some of the images I had missed.

What an excellent collection, Australian astrophotography is definitely alive and doing well.

Keep up the great work everyone.

Cheers

Hi,

I only started astrophotography last month and have only done it a few times. I did however buy a Pentax *ist DS and have used it twice on the 102mm refractor.

I have two goods shots of the moon (nothing from deepspace yet).

Regards

Daniel...

That one was taken with my now sold 10" dob and a security cam.
Took the best single shot out of an avi file.

Hi,

Thanks Martin. It is a bit hard to see how well things are focused in the viewfinder of my camera. Still I think they are a good attempt.

It would have to be the one I posted earlier in my first post of M42, as its really the only one worth a mention.

For only imaging for a month Daniel, they are beauties, as mentioned earlier if you can sharpen your focus a bit you would have great images of the Moon, well done.

Phil,
This might be a stupid question, but is that the running man in the top right?

My 2 favourites, taken through the Takahashi FS-102 and with an unmodded Canon 350D.

Thumbs up Nice collections

These are all great shots. That is why they have been posted as favorites.
It certainly makes some great drooling time while waiting fot the sky to clear.

Love them all.
