I see Perth sorted out Melbourne to the tune of 3-1, but I think Queansland will be a tough match for the next game.

Still can't get of the bottom though .

Cheers

Perth are doing well Ric. I see the jets still cant win without Joel Griffiths. Bit like the Knights and Joey Johns.
Will post the table at a later date.

Well, we showed Queensland a thing or two

On to the Central Coast now, a win now would certainly stir up the top of the table. There's nothing better than being nuisance to the top teams at the end of a season

The Jets had a good win last night as did Sydney. That should see both teams into the semis.

Yep Sydney and the Jets are fairly safe now. Last I heard Perth and the Central Coast where still 0-0.

The Victory had a good win tonight. Keeps them in the running for the semi's. Good to see them hitting some form heading into the Asian championship.

Gazz

you probably haven't received the letter yet - but i better tell you that because you haven't attended any of the last three astro nites here on the coast and you have failed to introduce several of our new attendee's to the hedgehog ritual

your passport to the gosford shire (sorry - CITY) has been cancelled

this means you will not be able to attend the game to-nite

Congrats Gazz, I see the Jets got the final spot in the semi finals last night. Melbourne and Adelaide came close but just got pipped at the post.

Thanks Ric. We were lucky to get away with the win against Perth last night. The ref done us a favour with the dodgy send off.

Hey Gazz, do you think the Jets will go all the way and win the finals?

It would be great if they could. We went well last year only to be beaten by Adelaide in the final. Hopefully we can go one better this year.

What's the classic old saying Gazz.

"Will someone please lend that ref their glasses"

Oh well, there is always next season.

Here is the final standings for the A-League season.
I think the central coast have been the best team team this year and deserve their first place.
It is great to see the Jets come in second, that will give us two bites of the cherry if we need it. I hope we don't...

Team............................... ......P..W.D.L..F..A.GD....Pts
1 Central Coast Mariners FC.......21 10 4 7 30 25 .5 ...34
2 Newcastle Jets FC.................21 9 7 5 25 21 .4 ....34
3 Sydney FC...........................21 8 8 5 28 24 .4.... 32
4 Queensland Roar FC...............21 8 7 6 25 21 .4.... 31
5 Melbourne Victory FC.............21 6 9 6 29 29. 0 ....27
6 Adelaide United FC................21 6 8 7 31 29 .2 ....26
7 Perth Glory FC......................21 4 8 9 27 34 -7... 20
8 Wellington Phoenix FC............21 5 5 11 25 37 -12 20

All the best with the finals Gazz.

Good to see Perth got off the bottom even though it was with for and against.

Thanks Ric.
It doesn't matter how you get of the bottom place as long as you are off.
Funny how three of the four teams in the semi's are within 160 KM from each other. Central and northern NSW must be the capital of football in this country.
