If you into model making i would suggest something like building gundams, i find it quite fun.

Or how about something like Animation.

Tony,
With all those great waterways all around you on the coast there,How about Kayaking!!
Summer is coming and lots of warm weather. You can tow the kayak behind your bike with a wheel set to get to the water if you are close or put it on a car..Getting out on the water is great for fitness,Very relaxing, quiet as well. Most kayaks these days are quite stable so you dont have to get too wet if you don't want to.some of the plastic ones are a bit heavy or you could get a mirage 580, kevlar and glass, which is the one I have, and only about 20 kilo and pick it up easily.
Just a thought!!

Cycling is great. I've ridden as a hobby but more so as a lifestyle. I truely think kids these days miss out on a lot by not riding the way we used to; fitness of course but also judgment, self-confidence and coordination. I rode to school from about 8 until walking with the girls became more interesting at about 16-17. I also rode to work and did most of commuting by bike until a few years ago. Even now I should get a bike and ride again. Good choice!!

Take up knitting it's safer

I used to ride a racing bike regularly 60 klms a day

in a 12 month period I was

harrassed by hoons regularly
hit by cars twice nothing serious fortunately

decided it no longer looked sexy wearing lycra so quite and took up walking instead

Yes, but if he owned a recumbent he'd NEVER get laid.

School teacher beards and patches on the elbows are number one at keeping girls away!

Do you live near water? Find a club and take up sailing.

Cheers,
Jason.

Hahahaha to be fair, I've never actually *known* anyone who rode a recumbent bike!!

Tony, I grew up on the GC, and was a big fan of kayaking... Some of the backwaters near Burleigh are gorgeous, and very easy for a day's paddling for a beginner
