I won't be getting the LX200 telescope out tonight as I have other commitments but the sky is Clear!

When I purchased my new telescope I had to wait 2 months before I could use it. Who invented cloud anyway?

What was the weather like at 9pm in Melbourne.. Looking at the conditions now it is saying scattered cloud.

My forecast from this morning indicates the cloud will start building up in the next few hours.

Melbourne Currently:
Clouds Few 1219 m
Scattered Clouds 1828 m

Saturday night was beautiful and clear here in Brissy.
Stayed clear the whole night! Boy, there was so much dew dripping off my stuff I could have given my self a bath right then and there before going to bed. And if I was thirsty, I just needed to tilt my head really..
I didn't come in until 3am and that's only because I feel it's wrong to go to sleep when the birds are singing the morning in.

What's the forecast for this week Weather Guru Wise One ?? ?? ??

Hi Suzy, got to love that dew. I remember the last time I experienced that dew problem my telescope equipment almost drowned. I really need to pick myself up a dew heater.

As for the forecast

Tuesday (Clear)
Wednesday (Clear)
Thursday (Clear but possibly turning cloudy)
Friday (Clear)
Saturday (Overcast)
Sunday (Clear)

This will be interesting - right now it's 100% cloud in Melbourne. Let's see how it turns out tonight. Also thanks for the updates - it's appreciated.

Thanks James,

According to our forecast Melbourne will be pretty much overcast until late afternoon....possibly beginning to clear from 3:30 or 4. By sunset you should have good conditions......

Yes it was clear at sunset which was quite surprising. But now it's fully cloudy with rain forecast. I don't think I'll risk leaving the observatory open all night.
