Good grief!!! Not good, Mark
Fish just makes me turn white go faint and break out in blotches, then throw up a lot.
Be scary not being able to breath!

No fear of that Mark. After previous breakouts I haven't eaten fish for about 30 years, 'just in case'.

Lungs, Tripe, Tongue, Trotters, Brawn, "Chitlins" (fried intestines), Flake, fake crab, eels, farmed seafood, Okra, Cauliflower (except raw), all pre-flavoured food, Lentils, Mustard, pickled eggs, anything "jellied", Pavlovas, Maltesers, Clinkers.
Vegamite (tastes like that stuff that accumulates in the bottom of the vegetable drawer), 'Kraft' anything, 'Praise' anything, 'Masterfoods' anything, 'Fountain' anything, 'Chicken Tonite', KFC, Maccers, Domino's Pizza, those weird bits of string that you Aussies call 'ham' that goes on pizza, Party Pies, HP sauce, Worcestershire sauce.
Over-wooded chardonnay, South Australian white wine, 'Yellow Tail", "Pink", "Yellow", Lambrusco, Grand Marnier, all 'champagne' that doesn't come from Champagne, Grange ($400 a bottle for cough syrup?), Coke Zero, Fanta, Pepsi, Wheat grass juice, city water.
And that's just off the top of my head.

No peas please!
Hi All,
It is amazing how we all have such different tastes.
Lots of people have mentioned lambs brains -- personally I quite enjoy them. Tastes a bit like chicken but ultra tender. Kidneys & liver for me are good too. Can't come at tongue, tail or tripe though.
I know the Chinese love chicken's feet and regard them as a special treat. I've tried them once (underwhelmed) but can't get the images out of my head of what those feet have stood in ... repeatedly.
My kryptonite is peas. Simply cannot stand the sight, taste or smell of them. I'll eat most vegies but absolutely, definitely, positively not peas. Ick!
Best,
Les D

I agree about the peas. It is about the only vege that I hate.
When I lived in the UK I would order a meal at a pub etc and ask for no peas. The plate wound usually come with a few peas on it as they would put them on by default and then realise that I didn't want then and try to remove them. Always a few would remain.
I don't eat offal except for pate.

Wow, I love them. But this always reminds me of a conversation my sister overheard on the bus once:
Boy 1: My aunt has no taste buds.
Boy 2: Yeah?
Boy 1: Yeah, she's lucky. She can't tell what peas taste like.

I had jellyfish once, it wasnt bad just felt like I was eating rubber bands. We had sea cucumber in that meal as well and it was wierd, tasted ok but the texture was too much like the jelly stuff you find in the bottom of dog and cat food cans so it put me off a bit.

food, glorious food
We are all spoiled- in tough times, you will eat anything, even down to boot leather. In times of plenty(well at least up to the Queensland floods) we can afford to be picky. Talking of what is usually yucky food, my mum makes a pretty mean ox tongue. She managed to get my brother's kids to eat it by calling it "wombat stew." Mind you,it is sometimes amazing what you can make out of seemingly revolting ingredients. The ingredients of my liver pate and the fried up mix would yuck out some of the forum members . It certainly yucks out my kids, but it tastes pretty good.
Perhaps we can have a sub-forum of recipes made with the "yuck out" ingredients that yield delicious final products.

One I just remembered which is probably the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted is the Monstera Deliciosa Fruit (a.k.a. Fruit Salad Plant).
Geez its bad.
It tastes a bit like a combination of bitter apple and sour custard, has the texture of drying Clag Glue and chalk dust and leaves a weird dry feeling to the roof of your mouth like Scones do, and a shocking after-taste that makes you want to wash your mouth and throat out with Kerosine.
It is probably the only food I have actually gagged on!
It really should be banned
From Wikipedia: "The unripe Monstera Deliciosa fruit contains oxalic acid in a form that, if eaten, causes immediate and painful irritation, swelling, blistering and loss of voice".
"All parts of the plant are poisonous, with exception of the ripe fruit. Furthermore, even the ripe fruit contains oxalic acid, not the healthiest of substances. Oxalic acid is corrosive to tissue.
When ingested, oxalic acid removes calcium from the blood. Kidney damage can be expected as the calcium is removed from the blood in the form of calcium oxalate. The calcium oxalate then obstructs the kidney tubules."

vegemite - I just can't stand the smell and it desn't taste good.
very spicy, korean or preruvian food, it would be OK if it wasn't for the excess chilli o whatever they put on them.
Tofu and sashimi.
Apart from that, I am happy eating almost anything.
