There's a very worthwhile railroad museum in Sacramento if you have time.

Thanks to everyone for your comments, support and feedback - it's really appreciated.

It's great to know I have a community of friends here on IceInSpace to share news with - both good and bad.

I'm glad to have found a great role so quickly. I had 2 job offers in 2 days, which was great to be able to compare the roles and choose the one that I wanted most. I also end up with a pay rise, get a new laptop, iphone and probably an ipad too

It's also great to know that my skills and experience are in demand. It's a huge blow getting made redundant, but I did feel confident that I had a good chance of finding something quickly - as long as the job market was strong.

It definitely will be busy for the next few months, coming up to speed with the new business and a new role - IISAC will be a welcome break in it I'm sure

I'll be certainly taking my camera along to the US - hopefully I'll get some time to use it but by the looks of the agenda, it doesn't look like there'll be a lot of it!

Cheers guys
