Hi Mike

I watched it - and I think I saw your footage, however it was very quick.

I missed the credits of the show.

Cheers Petra d.

Yes Mike, your Saturn footage was on it, though quick, and your name was on the credits. You can catch this episode on the ABC site online. It went, "Impressive even with a backyard telescope", whilst your video footage (black & white) is showing.

Yep - the ABC's IView website is fantastic Mike - you should be able to find the last 2 episodes on there

Definitely worth hunting down. Must admit I didn't make the connection with the video footage - although did read your post about it some time ago. You're famous....

Actually at the risk of breaking the language rule They say that Uranus is a very controversial name makes you wonder if the person that named it was having a real laugh about the name I am sure they would have found it just as funny as we do now. It would have been really scandalus back then.

"How Did It Get Its Name?
At first Uranus was named "Georgium Sidus", after George III (the King of England at the time). Other people called the planet Herschel, in honor of the man who discovered it. Another astronomer suggested the name Uranus, an ancient Greek god who was the father of Saturn, so that the new planet would have a name from mythology like the rest of the planets. The name Uranus was finally agreed on by everybody in the mid 1800's."

It always interested me if they ever considered calling the Earth 'Gaia' to keep the tradition of the names named in the Solar System.

Yes that was good. Damn good technology, what the Russians landed on Venus and the balloons they had travel part way round the planet!

How about the light show on the night side of Mercury - that must be so WOW!

Set on automatic record, No Way will miss it,

I think the narrator has done a brilliant job without being so overdramatic. Enjoyable to watch.
