I scored 19, in the 30-39 female age group (just).

Interestingly, I can see colour in some nebulae. Probably related to viewing and transparency rather than my eyes. Or my brain percieving what my eyes tell it they can detect.

31 for me in the 40 -49 group.

Looks like the purple coloured ones were my downfall. I also left my glasses at home today, that's my excuse.

Cheers

I got a score of 8. I looked away often to refresh my eyes. I think the monitor you use to view the test may play a part in your results too.

If I were you I'd get down to an optometrist and get tested for colour blindness or colour deficiency... I know I've got fairly serious colour deficiency and I scored 99...

Well, as time goes on, it seems that the scores get better. I had a score of 11 at age 67. Will send it to an excellent photo colour printer, and see what he and his team score.

mmm.. I've been tested by 3 different optometrists, all with the same outcome... for you at your age to score worse than me, I'd imagine that you suffer the same condition I do..

Just remember, it makes you a rarity..

Well I win ,
I have bad colour blindness, have known all my life.

I scored a 276 in the 30 to 39 year age group.
Good test and thanks for sharing.
I only use to use the old numbers, letters that were hidden in all those dots tests years ago, I could never get past second or third page and my brother would breeze through the whole book.
I should write up a dot test with my eyes and see hows many people would get it .
Alex would probally pass my tests .
It has not caused me too many problems as I still see all colours just in a different way.
I have it in most colours with the blues, reds and greens most prominent.
Funny thing was many years ago we were watching a show on TV and they were testing the latest military camo gear and had several soliders in it and the were lined up with a jungle back drop, and the reporter said he bet anyone that these soliders could not be seen from 100mts away.
Well everyone in my family could not see them but to me they looked like they had fluro clothes on .
Bad thing was the army use to use us aliens to spot the enemy years ago in jungle war.
It usually skips a generation in our family so my kids will be OK but my grandkids will probally get it.

Matt.

Nice one Matt... Yeah my first test was with a dot test.. Got 4 or 5 pages in, had my sister wizz through it like it was nothing.. Sure did feel stupid at the time.. (Being 5 and not realising that its a medical condition, not "Stupid")

I too see camo clad soldiers against bush backdrops as "High lighted" They sure don't blend in with my vision... Same too, Red/Green prominent with issues in blues/purples etc..

I can only imagine the responses of everyone on this forum if I got into image processing with my mixed up colour problems, I would probally be chucked of this site or locked up or something.
I will just stick to my video system and visual for now and maybe get into narrowband or S/nova hunting down the track.
I have played around with some data in P/S in the past and what looked good to me made my friends puke .
If it looks good to me then thats all I care about.
My early primary school teachers use to hassel me till my mum told them whats was going on.
