I too thought the thread was about something illicit and dirty - like not cleaning you optics or something.

Captain Pugwash and the Black Pig, remembers he, while whistling the theme music. Used to watch it with my girls when they were small.
No, no such crew members, think you been watching too much U-Tube
And the nasty in Stars Wars was called Darth, not Chad.

Hey you never know, there once may have been a sith lord called darth chad, maybe just not as evil as vader and friends so doesn't get mentioned in the block busters . Now onto my other memories, remember the lovable scottish dolphin named lassie or was that skippy? .

Note: Found an example. Dennis Banks doing it to one of your Carlton mates... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3yCiG8YcpU
Nearly killed him I'd reckon... (mong***s!)

rofl speaking of collingwood, the other night at work, a pair of loudmouth chick bogans parked next to me, they were loud and stupid, typical bogans, and their car was a 20 year old toyota Corolla, and they took some 10 mintues to finally emerge from their car, perhaps suffering difficulting unbuckling their belts and removing themselves from the vehicle....finally....which was a beaten up old bomb, with a COLLINGWOOD sticker on the left passenger window....

I said to myself.... "Naturally"....

Smile

Shows the danger of the rise of the sickening influence of the do-gooders of this world.

All you can say is really is "knickers" !!

(Note: That on ABC2 they followed this program with "Luminous", which are songs and music played by the Australian Chamber Orchestra set to the pictures and art of the controversial artworks of Bill Henson. Coincidence?

"Hey you, Whitehouse,
Ha ha charade you are.
You house proud town mouse,
Ha ha charade you are
You're trying to keep our feelings off the street.
You're nearly a real treat,
All tight lips and cold feet
And do you feel abused?
"

Filth was unwatchable - puerile and boring. It might have been watchable it it had been made as a documentary, but these reconstructions are dreadful, no sane human beings behave like that, not even namby-pamby churchy town mouses.

The other thing was the soundtrack - the music slathered over the top is a sure sign of very little real content.

And what they put on afterwards wasn't any better.

The funniest tid-bit on Whitehouse was before she died in 2001, she stated her two favourite programs on the telly, were Aussie "Neighbours" and the Snooker!
In the end, IMO, she remains as narrow-minded individual
The program tonight was, as Wavytone says, a little too overly dramatised. Agreed. A documentary would have been much better.

Note: I also like in real life, when Monte Python's John Cleese said in one of their sketches; "Mary Whitehouse has taken Umbrage, that could mean a bit of trouble."

Yer never know, but since he was a dayshift manager, probably way down the pecking order.
Nah, Dolphin was called Hen, thats what all the Scottish lassies are called, or Jimmy, if they are male.

I agree, I enjoyed it, but then again, I like any UK period-style programs from the 1950's onwards. Thanks for the heads-up on this one, jeanette.
