I'm coming along tonight. I'll be leaving my folks' place at about 6 PM, and expect to be at the Pony Club by around 7:30 PM or so.
Has anyone heard from RB in the last two weeks? I wonder what's up with him...
Regards,
Humayun

I heard from him via SMS yesterday - he's been busy with work so hasn't been on lately.

What a stinker! The BOM site says it's still 37.8 deg at Mangrove. I think the southerlys already hit at Sydney. I'll hold off abit more for the southerly to hit before I make a move. Any predictions on the cloud cover??

looks like it is clear for you guys - bummer for imaging though, unless you have a cooled camera still pretty hot - we hit 41.3 at wallsend today

Yeah, sorry guys, I've been way too busy here.
This hot weather really knocks us about with work and I haven't been on IIS for a while.
I just logged on now to see what's happening tonight.
Sue and the kids are still at the beach, if they get back and things cool down I want to try and make it tonight.
Clear Skies.

maybe wrong choice of sacrificial lamb
maybe i was the wrong choice for sacrificial lamb, maybe we needed the vestal virgin instead.
Woke this morning, looks like a daytime version of last night: what can you do??, this has been a lousey few months to see the sky.
The redeeming factor was that the company was great

The faithfull DID turn up but alas the only visible thing to the believers was the 'horsehead' from the clubhouse as I said in my last post.
Clouds rolled in just after we arrived (isn't that just typical) and spoiled the viewing, however it was good to meet Phil and Norm and catch up with all the regulars.
The cloud turned in to drizzle at about 1am so packed up stumps (Deeno twice on the day) and had an early. Sacrificial lambs just didn't do it for us this time, but they probably were the smartest and ended up getting more sleep than us. What's a sacrificial vestal virgin Arthur?
So till next one. Cheers

Dear PC goers
I would like to refer you once more to my other thread in this forum, we do not have control over the weather - lets just work with it. There are some clear skies forecast this week - how about meeting during the week? I think even one hour of a good sky is better than this waste of time...

Roadclosures
I read in the local that there are planned road closures in the area this week.
Is this going to affect access to the site?

*&^%$#@ Clouds again.
As soon as I unpacked the car and started to set up, the clouds came over and stayed all night.
Company was good as usual.
I cant work out if I am getting an Imaging bug or not after discussions with RB and "H" on the Moon.
Is it too late for me ?, am I on the downward spiral into the black hole of imaging................... ....... ..........Time will tell.
Thx everyone for a good night.
Maybe next time.
Geoffro.

RE: ROAD CLOSURE - January 27 - January 29
For those who are thinking about going to the Pony Club during the week, attached is the link from the Gosford Council website
http://www.gosford.nsw.gov.au/news_e...for-road-works
The map is of the affected area and detours is also found in the link.
Cheers,
The Sacrificial lamb #2
(sorry it didn't work out for you guys, I don't like giving blood for nothing - drizzled most of the way home too)
I'd rather be a sacrificial lamb than a scape goat.

The weather was lousy, but it was great to meet up with the regulars, always welcoming and good to have a yarn.
Looking forward to next time
