one thing I hate is that its so goddamn cold when it rains here, regardless of the season. In Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin etc, when it rains in summr atleast it oftenstays above 20C, or in the high teens atleast. I guess thats one disadvantage of a low-humidity climate.
Take heart Lee,
My forecast shows a row of little suns, but that's not what I see looking out of my window! P'ing down as per!!
Hopefully they've got yours wrong too - Nov 10 seems a long way off to go Astro cold turkey.
Cheers
Doug
latest forecasts starting to show another goddamned low pressure system develoing off NSW which will undoubtably direct yet MORE cold, cloudy tripe over us.
THIS IS THE WORST SRPING EVER! NEVER HAVE I FROZE TO DEATH AND THOUGHT IT WAS NIGHT AT MIDDAY SO CONSISTANTLY IN SEPT OCT AND NOV
Clear day stats for Newcastle - November not a great astro month! Only gets better from here though....
The 5.5 clear days will undoubtedly be across the full moon!
yeah Melbourne's winter and spring sucks big time. I love our AUtumns though, lots of cool clear settled weather.
I am seriously pissed now. I've got a few hundred sitting around and have been given shifts at work for everyday this week and probably will get daily shifts until christmas so it's time to fuel my addiction. I need my hit.
lets see, a Radian or two, a powermate and a 100-120mm RFT would be nice for those winter nights under the galactic core...
heres a bit of science for you. the following pics are from excell and are made for rainfall on a day by day basis and for a moonphase as well. Readings are mm taken at 7pm each day.
The charts represent data from jan 03 to june 07. taken for upperyarra area in victoria ( 60 km east of melb)
My one comment is .. why is Saturday the main day i can image so wet!!!!!!!!!
Don't blame yourself Doug!
If anyone's to blame it's me n' my 40D
It's the cumulative effect of astro equipment sales due to a strong Aussie dollar!
Damn you Howard!!!
Weather will be better under Rudd
Doug
If we can do this with a camera and a guide scope imagine what we could do with a 20" SDM.(Noah get the arc ready)
Doug, I know I'm not very clever, but what dose Et Tu mean
Leon
Spoken by Julius Caesar in Shakespeare's "Julius Caesar"
From the net:-
"Perhaps the most famous three words uttered in literature, "Et tu, Brute?" (Even you, Brutus?) this expression has come down in history to mean the ultimate betrayal by one's closest friend. This scene, in which the conspirators in the Senate assassinate Caesar, is one of the most dramatic moments on the Shakespearean stage. The audience has just witnessed the arrogance and hubris of a ruler who has sought, within a republic, to become a monarch, comparing himself to the gods. Brutus, a friend of Caesar and yet a man who loves Rome (and freedom) more, has joined the conspirators in the assassination, a betrayal which is captured by the three words above."
