The Glory are only one win away from getting out of bottom place. They seem to have turned things around with the help of their new coach. They have a very tricky home game agianst Melbourne next week, Central Coast play Sydney, Wellington play Adelaide and the Queensland Roar play the Jets. The Jets are one of three teams averaging less than a goal a game along with Sydney and Melbourne. Jardel has been a complete waste of money as far as I'm concerned and Danni hasn't been much better, we really miss Rodrigez and Nicky Carle. I hope the boys can turn things around next week, fingers crossed.

How good was tonight exhibition game between Sydney FC and the LA Galaxy. It had everything from drama to great goals. A well deserved win to Sydney 5-3.

Beck's goal was sheer brilliance as was his overall onfield presence. Thoroughly entertaining from start to finish. Also an awesome crowd for a Tuesday night.

you're not wrong Ric it was a great advertisment for the code. Becs goal was well takes even though as a Leeds United supporter I am bound by a blood oath to hate all Man U players old or new. So you can understand as a Jets supporter I also hate Sydney, but was glad the result went the way it did,for the sole season the no ex Man U players were playing for Sydney : )

Just AC Milan Gazz, my cousin played with them for all his career 1968 to 1980 so I have never even thought about supporting any other team, my dad and I always had seats reserved in the players section.

He also played in the 1970 World Cup, unfortunately the Azzuri were done 4-1 by Brazil that time around.

Cheers and congrats on the Jets win.

I think that is where my love of the game started, I can always remember pestering the players with heaps of questions about the game.

Good to see perth off the bottom Ric.
Here is the current A-league table.
I am off to Sydney tomorrow for the big game. Wish me luck. The Sydney supporters are the most vocally abusive supporters in the land. so I am sure to have a great time win ,lose or draw. I also love the pub crawl on the way back to central station.

1.Central Coast Mariners..14 8 3 3 17 9 8 27
2.Queensland Roar..........15 6 5 4 17 14 3 23
3.Adelaide United............15 5 7 3 22 17 5 22
4.Newcastle United Jets...15 5 7 3 14 13 1 22
5.Sydney FC..................14 4 6 4 13 13 0 18
6.Melbourne Victory........15 3 7 5 13 18 -5 16
7.Perth Glory.................15 2 7 6 17 20 -3 13
8.Wellington Phoenix.......15 3 4 8 18 27 -9 13

With Perth playing phoenix this week they might jump over the Victory if results go their way. All in all it should be a good week for the A-League fans.

It's looking good Gazz. We'll have to see how it pans out, but it is good to see Perth making a move.

I honestly can't wait! Especially with Melbourne vs. Adelaide and Newcastle vs. Sydney. It promises to be a great weekend.

Great win by the Jets yesterday. Perth had another fantastic game, they are the inform team of the league at the moment. I will post the latest table later in the week as I haven't had time to scratch myself lately.

Hi Gazz, from what I read Perth had a great game which is good to see. A strong finish to the season now could see us finish with a placing in the middle of the field.

That's always a good incentive to the wooden spoon alternative.

I agree Ric, my only worry now is the Jets play the Glory in the last round of the comp and if we need a win to stay in the semis and Perth need a win to get off bottom it should be a scorcher of a game.

It will be a good one Gazz, both teams have a good incentive to get the win. It will be a beauty for sure.
