Unfortunately Jon Pertwee died in 1996 .. he played the part of The Doctor (specifically the 3rd Doctor) from 1970 to 1974 ... and along with Tom Baker (who succeeded Jon by playing the 4th incarnation of The Doctor) they played the Doctor's that I grew up with, and through whom I came to know and love the character and the show.

Ironically tomorrow (July 7th) is the anniversary of Jon Pertwee's birthday - he would have been 88.
Sadly instead of Happy Birthday Jon it's R.I.P Jon ...

thank you, thank you thank you,.... I've been waiting for this since "Dalek" aired on CBC. Even tho I've loved Dr. Who since I was a little girl when my mum let me watch Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker on TVO before bed back in the 70s

I have to say the new sereise is amazing.. Who would have though that about the Face of Boh... who can not die.. Wait and see it will surprise you. And who would have believed there might be another, but then where you have Sherlock you must have Moriarty. And those amazing Darleks can anything stop them from coming back. I need to get myself the old ones and watch them, I used to see it after school but I think most of that was Tom Barker onwards (repeats ofcourse). Not so long back I think the did start at the begining on ABC but I never got the chance to watch it. Are the old series on DVD?

We are all looking back in time, but imagine being able to travel through it. Just imagine.

Hmmmm checked out website and nope never saw it before looked at a couple of clips to try and see what it was about.Ok if i get it right from clips.The people are fighting the garbage cans.Kind of an amateur Star treck without the special effects?
