More complicated than that but his insanity certainly contributed significantly to the loss. The allies had some serious smarts as well including people like Turin and Wallis. However, I'd suggest it was the sheer momentum of the allies with their massive supply chain that really made the difference. Cant fight a war when you are unable to supply and reinforce your armed forces... but I suspect this pretty much off-topic.
