I hate to sound like a moderator, but can we please stick to talking about the bookings for the Camp. I am trying to sort out all the accommodation, and it ain't an easy task.
My post, with the important questions to those that are coming to Camp, has been lost way back before a discussion about Birds Observatory where it probably won't be read any more.
(I want to know about Birds Observatory too, but not in this thread)
The people coming to camp, please scroll back to post number 35 in this thread.
Thanks all.
(geez, who'd ever think
I'd be saying this
)

Could I get all those who are coming please PM me or Ken with their number of people & nights please:
As time is getting really close to the:
SNAKE VALLEY ASTRONOMY CAMP MARCH 2007
4 nights of beautiful dark sky
I am in need of confirmations.
Even if you have posted your answer in here already, could all those that are coming, or those that would like to come, please confirm the following:
1. definite booking?
2. how many in your group?
3. how many nights?
4. Bunkhouse or campsite?
I need to start allocating bunkhouses and campsites
Once again we have been able to keep the Camp fees extremely low.
Bunkhouses (per person)
2 nights $30.00
3 nights $45.00
4 nights $59.00
Campsite (per person)
2 nights $28.00
3 nights $42.00
4 nights $55.00
Children under 5 y.o. – FREE
If we get enough bookings, the Saturday Night Feast will be on again!

That is a pity Bird. You will be missed.
Good news about getting your house getting closer to finished though.
I'll take a pic of Saturn for you at Camp

Plenty of accommodation left, and a LOT of room in the camping area/observing field.
We are organising the Saturday Night Feast tonight at our Camp Organising meeting. Yum Yum
See you soon Mill, and others.

Booked in for the Camp through Ken for the 16th, but I'd just like you to confirm the location as it doesn't seem to be on the SVAA web-site. My info has Snake Valley Camp on the Linton-Carngham Road south of Snake Valley, on the LHS heading south, and between the Pittong-SV Rd junction & Brumbys Rd junction. Is this right? BTW, you Snake Valleyans should get onto Google Earth - how dare they just cut you off like that!
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the event.....
Cheers -

Hi Rob here is a bit of the google map to help locate the camp from the general store.
There will be signs out to help those coming from ballarat see images.

Thanks Darren - all clear now, just a bit further south than I thought. I was working off a web-listing which is obviously in error:

See you on the 16th -
