True story..
I bought a 3D blueray DVD player with tracking & 24 hour delivery. It disappeared from the planet. Mean while at the Ararat post office even though the tracking had been updated & said it was there, all movement stopped for 36 hours. I phoned the Ararat post office manager and was told "We don't have it." I replied to him that I'm a Cop & this has just become a Police matter. Well I'm no Cop, but 15 minutes later they suddenly found my parcel. Weird eh! It was missing for 36 hours before I intervened. I bet it was in someones car boot.

Is Cobb&Co still running mail in Victoria?

In the past 10 days Australia post have managed to move a parcel from Drouin, Victoria to Sunshine, Victoria a distance of about 95kms ......
at this rate it will reach Canberra at Easter time.............. I have seen snails move faster, yet the CEO gives himself another pay rise .... "Fagin" comes to mind

In the same time Kokusai Kohki painted my mount in Japan, packed it, posted it and I have even been using it.

That's the gist Matt - in the time K-Astec sent the rings from Fukuoka, Japan to here, EMS, it took 4 days, and was sent Express/EMS for $15 AUS.

Try sending ANY parcel within the Aus Post network for $15, let alone Express, and an Express that actually WORKS.

Last letter I sent from here to Kingaroy - a 300km trip, took 4 days. A parcel back from Kingaroy full of Gainsborough lock barrels took 9. I am sure it was checked first to see if it was worth pinching.

I was at the Post Office yesterday, sending off an item to a member here......while there I asked is it true that prices will ' rise ' in the New Year.

A postal staff member looked at the other and said ' has that come through yet on the increases ' ..... the other said ' yeah, came a couple of days ago '
The staff member looked at me with a smile....yep, as of next year it will cost more.

I shook my head and wondered ... this organization is on its way to ' self destruction '

Good Riddens....

Poppy.....

And these idiot CEO's whine about couriers and other grey-services pinching their market. Do they honestly NOT know the reason why?

I send ANYTHING over letter size via Pack n Send now. EVERYTHING. Same price or better than Aus Post and actually damned well arrive in good time.

A dollar to send a letter across Australia doesn't seem too bad surely?

How about $17 to send an eyepiece around in circles for 10 days and still not delivered? Lately the service has turned to crap. They'd possibly be better off without a CEO and use his/her salary to employ a few more workers.

I hope I'm still young enough to use that eyepiece when it arrives Tony
I think the border guards are preventing it leaving Mexico into Australia.

Well the solution seems to be to use Express post satchels !!!
for an extra $1.40 per parcel, they arrived the very next day (Canberra to Brisbane)

Unlike the Registered Post item in the opposite direction which took 8 days 4 hours for the same journey!!!

Though I think the Japanese have it sorted, so far less than 24 hours from order/payment of some goodies (thanks Barry @ Kokusai Kohki) to be up in the air on its way to Sydney.... !!!
