I just looked out the window at work and was able to observe totality, the sun being 100% eclipsed by clouds...

Cheers
Steffen.

In Perth and surrounded by clouds. I have got some good photos though. Didnt see first contact but last contact is a possibility. Images were taken through a PST.

I went to a nice spot, it was sunny before the eclipse.... Then the eclipse started.... I saw about 30 seconds of it and then the sun disappeared for good behind BLACK clouds.

I saw the briefest glimpse about 5 minutes before sunset. I had my sunnies on and was looking through my 200mm zoom lens and I saw about 25% of a very pale solar disk with a chunk out of it. Fired off a couple of shots but they were hopelessly overexposed. At least I saw something!

Got less than 10mins after first contact (and 1 poor photo) from observatory hill before the thickest cloud in the whole sky settled over the Sun. Oh well, hope others were luckier!
