I don't know of any way of finding out exact info except to look out the window.

The radar sometimes helps see whats coming. According to current Radar there is nothing on the way.

Yeah, I think I might risk it and come up. Hopefully there will be some clear sky after dark. If not it will still be good to meet you guys and put faces to names

Just to clarify, is there a place to lay down a sleeping mat and stay the night because I don't feel like falling asleep and hitting a tree?

So how did it all go for you guys ?
We had about 20 hr by the rough count those who were sitting back taking in the view during our obs night last night.
As usual I found the meteors came in bursts.
So when you see one, it is worth stopping what you are doing otherwise (Eg: looking through a scope) & seeing if you can pick up a few more !
