Hi Jen,
Well done, nice new toy.
If you want to record the video you need an early digital video camera that still using tape to record and you can feed the signal from the other camera to it and it will convert it to digital AVI as it records and that can be reprocessed later into stills.

oh it does look rather sexy. I have never viewed through one of these (or anything other than the scopes in my collection). What detail can you see through one of these? Can you see proms and surface detail like what you see in solar images( is the shag pile carpet look)?

Its blood red in color and yes you can see the proms quite well and the black spots sometimes i think i see shaggy pile carpet look but i think its just my imagination hahah
