Ouch !!! , but I wonder how the ' Beehive Cluster ' would look in this scope after this .?? . Pretty good I would think ...

The caption for the photos goes like this.

Beekeeping and Astronomy-I invasion of bees in the telescope tube dobsoniano of 10 "that was in Caldas-MG. the mirror polishing material, beeswax base attracted the swarm into the tube.(1999)

I'm not sure if Rogerio is a member of IIS or not.

Cattle yards made from bamboo!,bee hive in telescope,guy with long stick with fire on end-now that is different.But as odd as it all seems-he might get some insurance money to replace scope.He would have a swarm of astronomers thinking then.

As funny as these posts sound, i do feel for the scope owner, kill the bees i reckon, wow, seeing a scope lay in the grass like that is sad

Me thinks self preservation took hold over scope preservation...
