They are top APOD standard pics.
That's the sort of work we'd all like to do if we had

Thanks Graeme. I am quite happy with the TEC, color correction is very good and the field is flat and corrected to the edge of my large chip using the dedicate FF. Overall it is a great OTA for imaging

I have never seen an image of this Galaxy before (or in real life either). Well deserved

Im not so sure about the colors though. I have looked at it on my calibrated monitor and a non calibrated one and the blues in the spirals and pinks of the h2 regions seem oversaturated. The pinks look hot pink.
Maybe its because I have never seen a version of this captured properly before

Thanks Cventer, it is difficult to find the proper balance of colors and saturation, I am personally more on the "saturated" side but this is a very personal taste. On my monitor saturation looks just ok, but perhaps you are right. I am also a bit surprised by the Ha regions turning out pink, actually Ha data was added as pure red but the luminance value of the area plays its part in changing a bit the cast, as often happens when one's add Ha data to galaxies shots..
Thanks again to everybody for the nice words
Clear skies
