Hmmm not that low. I am at around 35.5 degrees latitude, so I might not be where you think I am imaging from Marc. I am assuming you are in Sydney?

Hmmm, seems like many think so, but I like the dark doodad myself. Glad you like the image. Might have to submit this one I think.

Stunning capture of an interesting target Paul, I have heard of it but not seen & make a stab at the rather dark patch in the central neb is the seagull ?

Bob, this image shows the head and shoulders of the seagull. I reckon it looks more like a red cockatoo myself.

Thanks Paul, as I was thinking similar 'cause you often have close up & personall sized frames with your high powered scopes ! amaizing !

Actually this was taken with a focal length of 588mm, so this object is very large and extended. Maybe something to add to your list?
