Hey that's nice Paul, I like the way NGC 3576 glows in the middle of the shot and you have delineated the colour difference between the two nebulae nicely.

Good job...sure beats trouble shooting I bet

Mike

Thanks guys,

That sounds great Rolf and I am envious already of the colder temps you will be able to sustain.

Mike, it is nice to image rather than trouble shoot. I am trying to get Software Bisque to give me a PDF on the factory settings for all things PME. It makes for peace of mind. Sorting out problems that are caused by others in not my idea of fun. Instructive yes, but not fun.

Just came back to this after a quick look yesterday. Fantastic image and way better than your last go at the same object - nicer composition too. I love the contrast of the blue stars against the nebula field. I guess there's been something positive in all your problems with the mount if it caused you to take out the TSA again. Don't stop doing the wider fields.

That's a stunner Paul. Perhaps your best so far.

The offaxis guider really has done a good job of keeping stars super tight.

The small pixels of the 8300 really shine in shorter focal length scopes. I have noticed that with my own scopes.

Beautiful processing. Flawless.

Greg.

thanks guys, all the comments are appreciated.

Graeme I will not be stopping my wide field adventures. I might have to delay some more while I get the RC imaging with a few targets, but I too like the wide field images.

Greg, yes I don't think I will ever go back to a guide scope. Once I got the OAG working I have never looked back.
