My Meade 16"LX200GPS is my biggest at the moment. It takes me about 30 minutes to set up on my own.

Did you mean the biggest scope ever owned or the biggest currently owned?

I had a 12" dob for a while but I'm back to an 8" RC now.

The aperture of the biggest telescope currently owned.
The 12" is ahead in the poll at this stage with 24 votes out of 100.

Three scopes - 80mm (3+") achro refractor, 114mm (4.5") reflector and a whopping big 127mm (5") achro refractor. The latter is far too big to use of course.

Cheers -

9.25 Celestron SCT here. A nice balance between big (Would love bigger) and portable. I can break it down, carry it out, set it up and have it cooling off outside in about five minutes. About as heavy as I would want to carry too.

My wife refers to my 20" SDM as a "phallus-scope".

It is very wide and very long, and takes your breath away went pointing up, collecting excited photons.

The views through the Mary Rose are out of this world. It is so much fun to play with in the dark.

Hi Rod,

I hope the "phallus scope" comes out a bit more regularly than Comet McNaughty returns for a loop around the sun

Cheers,
