Remarkable work Martin. You've managed the interaction between the two feature rich channels exceptionally well. The apperance of areas being translucent provides an incredible sense of depth. Great imaging!

Awesome image Martin (as all of yours are). I'm intrigued by your and Mike's comments about Yass. One of my workmates has just retired to a 300 acre farm there and is amenable to the idea of me setting up an observatory there. I had no idea what the place was like (don't even own a car here yet!), but by your comments it's a good site. How do you guys rate it compared to other sites with 100 km of Canberra?

Thanks,
Cam

Thanks folks for the additional posts.

Cam - What can I say about Yass other than I got my first 9 or so APODs from there? My Summer average seeing was 2-2.5 arcsecs, but I blame that on the fact that I placed my obs too close to my house. So the new obs will be further away.

The best seeing I had in Winter was 1.3". I have not lived there now for 3 years, but I expect that my skies remain fairly dark, but somewhat light polluted out to the west.

Having imaged in severe conditions here for 3 years, means I have developed a whole bunch of additional skills to remove light pollution and severe gradients.

cheers
Martin

Sounds awesome, thanks Martin! I'm stuck in the inner west of Canberra at present and I've got mag 4 skies to contend with, so escaping is high on my list of priorities.

Cheers,
Cam
