Certainly shows the benifits of great seeing (and hardware). That sounds like it's about as good as it gets unless you were to travel to, Mauna Kea, La Palma or Paranal where it averages about 0.6" or so .

Thanks everyone - made me smile.

Mike - the seeing at SRO is quite sensational. I am also keeping a record of clear nights and since 1 Aug we have had 2 partially clouded nights.

Last night, the seeing started off at 1 arcsecond, and stayed there all night long.

Very nice detail, in the crop the illusion of 3D is present. I like the crop better than the larger image. Well done Martin.

Paul - of course, this image was taken with a completely different telescope. The widefield version was done with an FSQ.

I some how completely missed that Martin. Such was the view of the nebula. Sorry about that. Yes I prefer the close up.
