Just checked my pages on the web. There are 3 lines of guff that I assume FrontPage has inserted (and another line my webhost as inserted). They are:

Everything else is pretty lean as I coded it... but I suspect if you develop it all in the WYSIWIG editor it might through extra guff in like Word does...
FP does not produce standard html - one of the reasons real professional web developers don't use it. MS would like to claim that FP does but the consortium for html standards doesn't agree.
