star ships

My favourite-The 'Imperial Star destroyer' from 'Star wars'-The very beginning scene where it comes up from behind Princess Leah's ship and captures it.

The 'Millennium Falcon' from the same movie is also rather iconic .Here is a couple of images of my son's 'Star Destroyer'

Nope, it ain't.....the mothership out of Independence Day is 5 times larger. The Death Star II was 160km in diameter. The ID mothership is around 800km long.

The original Death Star was only 120km in diameter. Only twice the size of a Vorlon planet killer (60km in length).

Oh well so you all nearlly have all bases covered on this subject so i,m thinking to myself why not go back to my childhood when astronomy was not really number 1 on the hit list but i used to watch this anime with a passion.

So in my books it has to have a rating in there.

XXXXXXX I GIVE TO YOU THE YAMATO XXXXXXX

Cheers Kev.

I've always had a soft spot for the Enterprise.

I still get a buzz watching the saucer section detach in the first episode of Star Trek NextGen.
