Good on you for battling through jjj. The drive to survive for your family's benefit along with encouragement from friends can get you through the bleakest of times.

I've got to give special thanks to Ponders, my best buddy, for looking out for me, for letting me cry and vent at him. For being at my side during one particularly awful episode at hospital, that we can laugh at now thank goodness . A girl couldn't ask for a better friend.

Hi JJ, concratulations, lets hope the battle is over and you can now get on with your life. Having only met you once but spending quite a bit of time chatting, I can only say you are a real trooper and even when things looked not so good you were still getting on with life and extending sympathy to everyone who had a problem all be they much less than your own.
Our love and thoughts go out to you JJJ and thank goodness you have a mate like Paul. Best wishes from me and my family and from here on keep well.

Fantastic new Jeanette. May all the luck in the world be by your side now and forever. And what a friend you have in Ponders. Friends like that are so hard to find, - make sure you keep him chained up so he doesn't escape

I think back to when i first met you JJJ - then think of what has happened in the meantime and try to put things in to perspective. You may think that we give you help or support but somehow i think it comes back the other way in bucket loads. This journey we have around SOL does have some challenges, but there are some outstanding moments, you are one of them! Courageous, charming, witty , knowledgeable and thoughtful are a few words that come to mind. One thing though – if they ever invent smellavision on the net – don’t take off the ugg boots Here's to more Anniversaries

G'day Nettie, congratulations, I dont post here much but that doesnt mean I dont think of my buds regularly, seems I never get to catch up these days but we will get together again soon and when we do we'll toast your victory(s). Continue taking care of yourself and thanks Paul for bringing this milestone to my attention.

Cheers, Dennis.

Bloody brilliant news Jeanette, I never realized what you had been through. You always seem so cheerful and positive on the forums. It really was great to meet you and Paul at last years Astrofest. If it was not so very far away I would certainly be a regular. I admire your work and after reading Pauls post I have the greatest admiration for your guts and strength of character, wishing you both the very best for the future, may it be very long and happy.

Best Regards
Trevor

Yup, she's one dedicated & tough lady alright. I have certainly experienced first hand that having really close friends is so very precious when you are in a dark place, good on you Paul.

I like the words of a song I heard recently called "count on me" by Bruno Mars seems appropriate here.

"if you ever find yourself lost in the dark and you can't see
i'll be the light to guide you
find out what we're made of
when we are called to help our friends in need
you can count on me like one, two, three
i'll be there
and i know when i need it
i can count on you like four, three, two
and you'll be there
cos that's what friends are supposed to do"

I have known sometime about your battle JJJ and often think of the hardship that this illness can have on a person. So when you say to me you love my work, I have often thought that it is I who loves your work. Surviving as you do is infinitely more impressive than anything I could produce. Keep up the good work.
