Post editing bug

When I edit a post all newlines get deleted. This is very annoying when a post contains quotes and several paragraphs. See this thread for an example: http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?p=92902

Ken, if you're still with us, just use Quick Links -> Today's Posts to see all the posts. With "New Posts" you won't see any threads you have read already (which includes those you have just posted in it).

Steve, can you tell me what you have under "User CP" for the editor you use? Wysiwyg, standard, or enhanced.

I switched to "Basic Editor" but the problem persists.

The editing problem seems to be browser dependent. Firefox works as expected, but Konqueror seems to dislike the new setup. Ah well, I might have to just go with Firefox. Text-only browser does not work as well as it used to either (preserves newlines but does not wrap text so a lot of scrolling for editing/writing paragraphs longer than one sentence).

I like Konqueror but for me, it's never been quite right. I *really* want to love it, but it makes it difficult sometimes with it's idiosyncracies.
vbulletin relies heavily on javascript. Which makes for some nice features, but also means it's more likely to break on some browsers.

Yes, there is the odd site/function I need to fire up Firefox for, but Konqueror works for me 99+% of the time and it has functionality I use daily, that no other browser can provide (understands protocols like sftp, fish, imap etc with FM integration). I wonder how Safari (Apple's konqueror derived browser) would cope with the new IIS setup. I'll give it a go next time I get my hands on a Mac.
