Hi Ken, I read this post whilst at work and thought I had one ( 30x30)at home. After a bit of searching I only found a 12v 40x40x12. I also have 50x50x10 @12v. If you have use for them I'll be happy to send them to you for free! ( I realise that you need the smaller size - but I thought the 12v might help)

Sorry just re -read you need 6-7 mm thick.....
Also I have lotsa old ( newish) motherboards with lots of caps on them. I havn't looked for the ones you need but if you want I can have a look....

Thanks Bart but I already have a 12v 40mm x 40mm x 10mm fan but it doesn't quite fit.

If I can't find a 12v 30mm x 30mm x 6mm I will head to Jaycar and get the bits that Gary suggested or the Regulator Fred suggested.

Ahhh, OK, sorry Dave.
I didn't understand.

Are you able to get the 12v 30mm x 30mm fan? 'GM1203PFV2-8' from that link: http://www.tme.eu/html/EN/dc-fans-30..._EN_pelny.html

Even though it is 10mm thick I might be able to squeeze it in somehow.
