You're the master of the Toucam Dennis! Wow! Just got inside from binoviewing Saturn -- ahh that was good! I jump on iceinspace and I get another . Thanks Dennis. Davo, sorry, your animation does not quite do the images justice. Nice try though. I think the single long pic with the images laid out in front of you one after the other is an absolute jawdropper. I used the little Xmag application (screen magnifier I rarely use) for the second time in 24 hours both times on your Jupiters, Dennis, to take a closer look at the amazing detail.

Amazing stuff Dennis

I noticed the captures for 4.47 and 4.49am show a slightly different colouration to the others. Did you use slightly different processing for those two ?

Hi Geoff

I'm not sure why the colour variation. For some of the captures I had thin wispy cloud passing in front of Jupiter, which I noticed as a slight dimming on the computer display. I have also noticed that occasionally, the avi being captured suddenly shows blue tinges on the notebook display, as if the data stream from the ToUcam to the computer is being somehow affected?

I punched all the avi's through Registax and only used Wavelets so that shouldn't cause any colour variation.

I'll be keen to see Mike & Dave's efforts when I send them copies. Hopefully they can squeeze something more from the avi’s.

Cheers

Dennis

Hi Dennis, if you had your balance set to auto rather than freeze that cloud might have shifted your colour balance - does with mine. cheers,

Thanks Robby,

Have a look here for the equipment details:

http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ead.php?t=7443

There are screen captures of the settings used in that thread as well.

Cheers
