Shane, the Bureau of Meteorology produce the Australian Weather Calendar each year and it's dedicated to interesting weather photographs submitted by members of the public (from what I can deduce).

http://www.bom.gov.au/calendar/call.shtml

It's popular and sells out quite early. The calendar is large format and has a whole page describing the actual wheather phenomena for the 12 individual pictures featured.

If I'd taken your great image, I would definitely be submitting it!
