Well, blow me down with a feather. With what appears to be unscrupulous crooks and fraudsters like this out there, I suddenly feel all safe and warm when selling and purchasing astro goods from my local IIS family. Good to have friends and a family you can trust eh!

Cheers

Dennis

In my experience, most things that seem too good to be true on EBay, usually are !
Especially big ticket items

My sentiments exactly Dennis. I've purchased a few items off IIS forum members now & I'm happy to say I've had no trouble at all.

I wouldn't be game to purchase a box of matches off ebay let alone a telescope.

I think Ebay has lost the plot, I stopped buying stuff from there 6 months ago. Now it is just rife with scammers and idiots.

An example:

Yeah - well Ican't buy from you or sell to you either, in the right thread - haven't been here 30 days. And without a doubt buying or selling outside the correct thread would be spam!

Back to ebay

Portmac, That's pretty funny! I've just asked him if he's got any that will work with Linux.

What on earth are you talking about, stinky? Are you just trying to keep stirring the pooh for the mods?? If so, then please ease up. They are volunteers dedicating their time to keep the site functioning. Their work is even more difficult now that iceman, the site's owner, is away.
