That's the web designers' fault, not the web browser.

true. not blaming the ipad or the hardware, i think its a bit ahead of the rest of the web, so its not far before web developers realize that the target audience for the ipad and iphone is so huge, that they'll redevelop content so its supported on these devices as well.

apple took a stand to not support macromedia content. its not just a browser related feature. more apple's policy, they must've had their reasons.

or steve jobs must have seen the future of web with hdmi5 where there wont be the need for flash content anymore.
i guess its just a matter of time before everything else gets compliant with the ipad genre as thats the future.
truly amazing. i love the smart cover.

I recall reading something about Flash taking up lots of CPU cycles, and, hence, draining battery life.

It makes sense when you think about it. HTML5 is a much more lightweight and capable method of delivering funky content.

Can't say it's ever bothered me not having flash, never noticed.

One reason Apple won't use flash is because of it's 'mouse' features.. rollover etc.. that don't translate to the touchscreen.

"Flash was created during the PC era – for PCs and mice."
