Oooo Errrrr Jen,

That is one sexy scope!!!!!!

It's got all the good bits too, goto, retractable front end, 2 inch crayford, 12 inches of pure unadulterated astronomical bliss....

No wonder you're kissing it!!!

Hubba Hubba........

You got me. I could have sworn an HEQ5 pro and an ED was the way you would go....just goes to show eh?

Still, with goto and tracking, some AP shots are still on the cards!!!

Well done, still has that new scope smell.

Savour the feeling

Cheers

Chris

I just bought one of these a month or two back. Awesome thing, optics are spectacular for the price. Word of advice, the spanner that comes with it that wont fit anything, dont throw it away, its for adjusting the clutch on the AZ-motor, these mounts dont like the cold and youll need to tighten it up in winter and loosen it in summer or it wont track. I dont know how this works for you guys down under though. Its -4 here right now

Looks a great buy and something I might think about getting in the future to use while imaging, that way I am not just sitting there doing nothing I could be exploring new objects at the push of a GOTO.. Now if only we could develop EQMOD to work with Alt/Az scopes

Can't wait to see it in action in about 11 or 12 nights time. Great buy Jen, I hope you get some brilliant views from it. Will you doing any mods to it, like motorise the focuser or sliding counterweights?

Congrats Jen, you'll love it. I have just gone up slightly from the 10" to a 12.5" and it is a decent jump.
For round home, why not fit it on a rolling platform of some sort?
Snake Valley will be overrun with strapping helpers.
