Glad to hear it wasn't the ticker, Mozzie.

I've had endoscopy, it's no big deal 'cos you're sedated when they do it.
I don't remember a thing.

A tip for you guys, I had a massive heart attack at 35yo. Believe me you will know if you are having one !

If you are having chest pain and you think it is a heart attack do the following:

First off tell someone if you are alone(just incase it is)

Second, get a cold glass of water and swallow a small mouthful, if the pain eases somewhat, or changes significantly it's not a heart attack. Or just swallow like you where taking a drink if you can't get water, etc.

Thirdly, do some streatching of your arms, legs, etc.

If by doing any of those things eases the pain then it's not a heart attack. If you are having a heart attack no matter what you do the pain NEVER eases up or goes away for a second or 2. The heart dosn't stop beating(in this case if the pain goes away it would be a bad thing !) so it is a constant pain that nothing will ease, except the Morphine, and/or Nitro they will give you at the hospital. The pain gets a little more intense in rhythm with each heart beat.

I have, on and off, a similar problem to you Mozzie and after the heart attack I had many a scare untill I worked out for myself the above info which will hopefully put some minds at ease in the future. But if your really not sure don't risk it and get to a Hospital ASAP. I was lucky and only 10% of my heart died, which you can never get back btw.
