I have come to this very late it seems but my favourite stargate...
I have just been watching teh first 4 episodes and think teh characters are very good. The fact that Robert Carlyle does not stand out is a credit to him, the others and the writers.

I picked up all the progs from vuze - I got to the point of not watching them even after I downloaded them - It got really off the wall - petty squabbles etc.
I have all the stargate and whilst banal in many circumstances, are at least watchable.

It took me some time to get into, but just as they sorted it out they cancelled it. The last one goes to air in the us next week. It is going, I think, to be an ordinary episode to end the series with. They have spent so many episodes building so many story arcs that there is no way you could finish them off in a single hit.

Watched the last episode yesterday! I won't give details but the finish was quite well done. I had a tear in my eye! Such a shame that it is now finished, had improved so much since the start of the series! Nothing decent to watch now till Fringe comes back!

Yeah, have watched it, not a bad way to finish it off. Interestingly I believe that the filming for the whole season was done before they axed it so this season was always going to finish that way or something similar. I suppose a few changes could easily have been made in editing after it was filmed and after they found out it was curtains.

Typical of TV production houses and typical of how Sci Fi is often treated, ratings not good enough, jerk it around into exit lounge timeslots, ratings fall further (No surprise there given the times they bumped it to in the US) give it the chop. How they call it the SciFi channel when they put things like wrestling on it I do not know! (I WILL NOT dumb myself down enough to use the term syfy! I know what the name is an abbreviation of and I CAN spell)

You watching it on pay tv or free to air? I will admit to not keeping up with the free to air channels and where they are up to.
