Ken....

Surely it's not so bad that you have to turn your back on the rest of us?

Dude... nothing's worth quitting the funny farm here

Come on, mate. Give us a "hoy!".

Dear Mr Dragon,

Although I believe that I have never corresponded with you directly, I must admit to having read many of your posts with an interest that is tantamount to idolatry. I also see from the many reponses to this thread and your initial one word farewell that a similar sympathy has been excited in the breasts of a great many others. What can I say? With you gone, who will remind us that we must, indeed, "look up and drool"? Who will continue to admonish Thomas Edison for his accursed invention? Most importantly, who will assume the mantle of trenchant critic, court jester and chief trickster in the Ice In Space forums?

Sadly, the answer glares all too obviously at each of us. Sadly, the answer is nobody.

Like Arnie, he'll be back....just needs some time to heal and let the angst work its way out of his system. It happens to us all, but I have come to see that a little time and some much needed space are indeed great healers, and the human spirit is resilient.

When he does return, he'll be welcomed like a brother and within a post or two; it will be just like old times. So, don’t worry, just wish him well, send him some kind thoughts and say hello when his giant shadow falls once more across the doorway to IIS.

Cheers

Dennis

Thanks all. I may pop in from time to time. I will only post if I think what I have to say is worthy or can help someone.

Well Ken, I'd better put my money where my mouth is and say "hello IIS dragon brother", welcome and we look forward to continuing where you left off.

Cheers

Worthy! Helpful! Since when were these the criteria for posting on IIS???? Need I remind you, sir, that not once have I posted any response to any thread that was remotely worthy OR helpful to anyone. If it isn't trivial, flippant and inane, then I don't want to read it. Get with the program, sir, and post until those fingers bleed!

But seriously, nice to hear from you.

There is always some politics on this site and seems to upset one person or another. I should know it has happened to me. We don't need to nag Ken, if he chooses to come back he will. He has said that he will pop in from time to time to contribute. Perhaps we should leave it at that.
